The perfect ambassador for the next Olympic Winter Games at Vancouver 2010 was 25-year-old Canadian geography student Cindy Klassen. She also happens to have won more medals than any other woman at the Games with one gold (1,500 m), two silvers (1,000 m and team pursuit) and two bronzes (3,000 and 5,000 m) in speed skating. Klassen is an incredibly versatile athlete, having competed in lacrosse, ice hockey and in-line skating. She took up long track skating at 18, and three years later won a bronze at Salt Lake City.
